Adopting Healthy Habits, Dropping Unhealthy Habits

Adopting Healthy Habits

Adopting healthy habits is not easy especially when you have been leading an unhealthy lifestyle for years.

If you find yourself struggling to drop unhealthy habits perhaps you need to do some self searching. Sometimes we know a habit is bad for us but we don’t know specifically what harm it does. Writing out exactly how it hurts us enables us to identify exactly what we are dealing with. It will also give us motivation to stop. The mind is tricky and sometimes it will find many ways to justify engaging in unhealthy activities. When we know exactly what harm the thing does, it is difficult for the mind to play this trick. Similarly we know that certain habits are good for us but we haven’t thought about exactly how they positively impact our lives. When we know exactly what good the healthy habits do, we have more motivation to maintain them.

Write everything out and create a vision for yourself that is so great the very thought of engaging in an unhealthy habit scares you and shakes you up.
