Adopting healthy habits is not easy especially when you have been leading an unhealthy lifestyle for years.

Writing out exactly how it hurts us enables us to identify exactly what we are dealing with. It will also give us motivation to stop. The mind is tricky and sometimes it will find many ways to justify engaging in unhealthy activities. When we know exactly what harm the thing does, it is difficult for the mind to play this trick. Similarly we know that certain habits are good for us but we haven’t thought about exactly how they positively impact our lives. When we know exactly what good the healthy habits do, we have more motivation to maintain them.
