Cultivate An Attitude Of Gratitude

gratitude

Gratitude gets us through the difficult times and makes us appreciate the good times even more. Gratitude is a skill that improves with practice so try to practice daily. To practice all you need to do is find something to be thankful for.

Gratitude Helps When You Feel:

Helpless
Sad
Hopeless
Unappreciated
Unloved
Despair
Ungrateful

After practicing gratitude the negative feelings and emotions are transformed.

Helpless is replaced with empowered.

Sadness is replaced by peace of mind.

Hopeless is replaced with hopeful.

Unappreciated becomes grateful.

Unloved is replaced with a love for your own company and appreciation for all the good things that have happened to you.

Despair disappears.

Ungrateful is replaced with grateful.

No motivation is replaced with self-motivation.

Practice

It can never be emphasized enough that gratitude is a skill and the more we practice it the more we benefit from it. It is easy to ignore opportunities and complain. Complaining has its place but a life centered around complaining is non progressive. If all we do is complain we’ll never gain.

Sayings like you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone and you never miss the water till the well runs dry are timeless because people realize the value of something after they lose it.

Look around the room you’re in right now and identify a few things you’re thankful for.

If all you did today was give thanks you did good. As I become more grateful each day I increase my capacity for love.

Each day find something to be thankful for and the opportunities in your life will multiply. At random times during the day pause and look around and give thanks. Or look within and give thanks. Thank your heart and mind for always being with you.
