Unresolved past issues are heavy burdensome loads that prevent us from achieving our true potential in the present. Making peace is necessary to get rid of this unnecessary baggage. Making peace requires confronting the problem, admitting to wrongs and forgiving all parties involved.
Depending on the severity of the past experience, extensive counselling and meditation might be needed before forgiveness is achieved. Rushed or forced forgiveness always makes matters worse.
Forgiveness is a declaration that you no longer feel guilty or hold negative feeling towards others.
Forgiveness may be incorporated with a simple ritual called purging the past. When applied with pure intention that is without any grudge or resentment purging the past will provide the necessary energy for you to cleanse and close old psychological wounds.
The ritual process is an opportunity to explore and act out your feelings step by step giving you a clearer understanding of the situation and why it is important to forgive.
A lemon, lime, paper, pen, mirror, matches and full moon are the only requirements for this ritual.
Upon rising, squeeze the lemon and lime in a glass of water then use this to anoint your head. Then take a shower washing your entire body from head to toe. In esoteric and occult circles lime and lemon have been used for purification, healing, protection, love and to cut off negativity
Get a sheet of paper and write all wrongs. Focus on the important unresolved issues. Make a note of the deed along with the name of the individuals.
Asking For Forgiveness and Forgiving Self:
I realize the errors of my ways. I accept the fact that what I did was wrong, this is a lesson that will teach me for life. I release the emotional hurt and the painful burden of guilt but keep the lesson close to my heart. I forgive myself. I love you I love myself:
Forgiving Others and Letting Go:
For far too long I have suffered from the pain of what you did. It is time for me to let go. I release the emotional hurt, I release all negative feelings towards you. I forgive you but I will not forget. This is a lesson for a lifetime.
What I did : Stole her money.
Dear Lisa, I realize the errors of my ways. I accept the fact that what I did was wrong, this is a lesson that will teach me for life. I release the emotional hurt and the painful burden of guilt but keep the lesson close to my heart. I forgive myself. I love you, I love myself.

Keep writing the names until you have everyone covered. If possible, reach out to the individuals a few days before performing the ritual and show them that you are genuinely sorry for what you did and let others know you forgive them. If that’s not possible then go ahead and perform the ritual without them.
Stand before the mirror and read everything you have written. When saying the final six words “I love you, I love myself.” Look directly into your eyes
When night arrives and the moon visits, allow her light to wash you clean. Inhale while looking at the moon and visualize yourself being inflated with life energy. Visualize the energy destroying anything negative within. Exhale and visualize a protective healthy aura surrounding you.
Full moons represent new beginnings and major change; they provide powerful energy that may be used in a number of ways.
